Life of Your Own is a community-based charity which helps people with disabilities and high support needs access self-determined care and support services, enabling them to live in their own homes in the local community.
Life of Your Own has by the provision of hands on assistance in self-directed care, advice on independent living, guidance on accommodation and other related support services, championed increased participation and community inclusion for people vulnerable to exclusion.
Our current services are designed so as to enable these individuals to develop home lives, networks of social relationships and gainful employment in the local community.
We achieve this by a mix of direct service provision and by offering advice, training and other assistance to families and carers, and to others who work with such persons in either a professional or voluntary capacity.
